Congratulations to all crews who participated at the Midwest Junior Rowing Championships last weekend. The MRC fleet had stand out performances from the Mens Second Novice 8+ who won the event with a time of 7:19.62 and the Mens Second Varsity 4+ who earned bronze with a time of 7:21.45. The Womens Novice 4+ narrowly missed out on a bronze medal finishing just four tenths of a second behind third. A full layout of the results from the finals can be found here.
Greater Chicago Junior Rowing Championships - Saturday, May 3
This weekend is the Greater Chicago Junior Rowing Championships, held in Crystal Lake, IL. The MRC Juniors will race on an 1850 meter course consisting of six lanes. Milwaukee will be up against the best teams from Chicago and surrounding areas. Saturday's field will include Camp Randall, New Trier, Chicago Rowing Federation, Loyola Academy, St. Ignatius, and several other teams. Families are encouraged to come support the team. Monona Sprints Results
The MRC Juniors battled against some tough conditions with white caps on the course on Saturday. The strong winds caused a number of the fours races to be cancelled. Results can be found here.
Monona Sprints Lineups
Lineups for the Monona Sprints are now available! All athletes need to arrive at 7:00 AM in Madison. Bring a gallon of water to share with the team. Races will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at 12:45 PM.
