Learn-To-Row Information
Who:
Any High School and Middle School students interested in learning the basics of the sport of rowing and joining our nationally competitive high school team or middle school team. No prior experience necessary.
When:
Choose a one week Learn to Row session that best fits your schedule from the list below. Sessions run Monday - Friday.
What:
Your Learn to Row fee includes the one week session, and the remainder of our summer season. That's right! Upon completion of your Learn to Row session you are eligible to join our high school or middle school team for the rest of the season at no additional cost. (High School Team Summer Season: Jun 14-July 30 -- Mon-Fri; Middle School Team Summer Season June 15-July 29 -- Tu&Th)
Where:
The Milwaukee Rowing Club boathouse is located on the Milwaukee River on N. Commerce Street. Athletes row through downtown and train on all of Milwaukee's waterways (Milwaukee River, Menomonee River, Kinnickinnic River, Lake Michigan, etc).
Why:
To learn the basics of a new sport and become eligible to be a part of our nationally competitive youth rowing program.

High School Learn-to-Row
This program is for students entering grades 9-12. Each athlete will gain a well-rounded understanding of the rowing stroke, the equipment, the terminology, and safety in and around the boathouse. Our experienced coaching staff leads all sessions.
Fee per session: $250
High School Boys and Girls
Session I: June 17 - June 21, 10:30am - 1:30pm - Register here
Session II: July 15 - July 19, 10:30 am - 1:30 pm - Register here
Middle School Learn-to-Row
This program is for students entering 6th-8th grade. Each athlete will gain a well-rounded understanding of the rowing stroke, the equipment, the terminology, and safety in and around the boathouse. Athletes will learn what it means to be a part of this Olympic sport in a noncompetitive and fun environment. Our experienced coaching staff leads all sessions.
Fee per session: $175
Middle School Boys & Girls
Session MS 1: June 24-28; 2:00pm - 4:00pm - Register here
